When you know, you know(I know those of you who will know what I'm referring to!)
I think I know, what Flashware knows that he knows

What's with all the cryptic comments Flashware - now I'm really confused![]()
I thought I knew something but as it turned out I did not really know anything at all and that was the end of that....When you know, you know(I know those of you who will know what I'm referring to!)
Saw 2 x QF 747's take off one after another from BNE today about 1425 hours.

QF15 was late.
QFLATE was late.
QF8 seems to have done a fuel splash'n'go in AKL. Arrived in BNE 6.5 hours late! Finally left BNE @ 14:16. Bet the pax were happy to land in SYD @14:16 ( over 6 hours late).
QF15 is showing up as leaving at 13:04, but I presume that is "left gate", rather than "departed airport". It was only 2-odd hours late.
Good to see QFLate is keeping up to it's usual reputation...
I just checked out the flight status from the QF website & it looks like QF8 operated DFW/LAX/AKL/BNE.
There a thread on airliners.net including from a pax on the flight travelling to mel - took them 36 hrs to get to MEL in the end. DFW-LAX-AKL-BNE-SYD-MEL (no switching to a direct AKL-MEL flight!).Didn't notice that. LAX stop-over is interesting and not usual. Medical diversion perhaps?

Diverted to LAX whilst over Baja Mexico for sick pax (stroke apparently) then knowing crw would be out of hours to get direct to BNE they elected for AKL so that a crew could be shipped across to operate AKL-BNE-SYD.
Pax got a $12 voucher to use in AKL for food.
What about QF51? Its a 744 most days now and would be departing around that time and would be seen to be heading westerly.QF15 was late.

Okay so it must've been QF51 first heading west to SIN then QF8 to SYD heading down the coast.
Thank you linesmen, thank you ball boys.![]()
One would hope QF15 was already on its way to LAX by then.![]()
