And on the other side of the coin there was a person on Flyertalk a while back who had way over 12,000 posts and way over 12,000 of their posts were on the counting thread. And I think these posts were posted in a matter of days.
And those posts are in OMNI!

And those posts are in OMNI!

FWIW, the motion failed to pass:
On 8 August 2011 the TalkBoard failed to pass by a vote of 4-5:

Moved by SkiAdcock and seconded by Cholula:
At present post counts differ for all the Flyertalk forums and for the OMNI forums. The TalkBoard believes that FlyerTalk would benefit from a common posting process for these forums (Coupon Connection excepted due to the uniqueness/mandate of the forum).

The TalkBoard recommends that OMNI posts count towards posting total.
Voting yes: Cholula, jackal, SkiAdcock, UA_Flyer

Voting no: bhatnasx, lucky9876coins, Markie, nsx, Spiff

Good to hear, but really there are some issues in life bigger than whether your post should count when you post in OMNI on flyertalk.
... or should one post in OMNI at all ... or in this TTOTT for that matter.

Well the hottest topics of the board seem to be 5 dollar Sydney intra airport transfers and ANAs lady loos, closely followed by Virgins pie in the sky! One gets the impression that it's the quiet before the storm of Aug 24 :).

[-]You mean like this?: https://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php/113501-Spoiler-Tag?p=732072#post732072[/-]

Actually, that one sucked a bit. This would be nicer: JQuery-animated Spoiler BBCode - vBulletin.org Forum (although the comments suggest there are problems with it and Internet Explorer)

For me it load the content before hiding it, so sort of failed attempt, but yes, smiting like that, though a bit more stable.

I don't know if you can lose your status on MilePoint (other than by breaking the rules, of course).

It is for life once earned.

I know, rather crazy! I've been in a world of my own... didn't even hear about it till Monday afternoon when people were asking me about it! Crazily enough, I was in Brixton a mere 20 minutes before the action happened there on Sunday night ; went to see Morrissey @ O2 Academy. Left just in time it seems...:!:

How the hell do you fit a 100" plasma into a London flat?

Not sure. The fundamental question I asked myself after writing that was: do they even make 100" plasma.

Good afternoon from freezing cold Prague! I arrived from London this morning, and I must say that I was quite glad to be getting out while they sort things out - as much fun as the broken windows, shop closures, constant sirens, fear and closure of our tube station (for 'civil disturbance') whilst on the Tube trying to get home was, I think I can live without doing it again... at least nothing in our vicinity was on fire! Worse was the realisation the next day that fine dining punters were being held up in a Michelin-starred restaurant just down from the 'safer' tube station that we were forced to work home from. Fun! And no, I don't have a new big screen TV - no way I'd trust BA baggage handlers thru LHR with a plasma TV :p

Anyway, for anyone considering a gastronomic pilgramage, we visited the Fat Duck, which was an unbelievable experience! Perhaps too out-there to be the best meal I have ever had, but certainly the best dining experience I have ever had. The new Heston Blumenthal restaurant in London ('Dinner', in the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Knightsbridge) was also excellent - the 28 pound 3 course lunch was excellent value and absolutely delicious. Sadly we didn't get a chance to complete the quartet of Heston restaurants - maybe next time we will just stay in Bray village, no looters there!

Enjoy Prague, drmikki and pity we can't catch up on this trip to PER. nice to sew you're helping out the European economy :D

Funny you say that, caught up with a mate today and mentioned that I upgraded from a VW Polo to an Audi A4 (it was after all, only an extra tenner a day) for my trip around Ireland next week and his comment was "helping out the struggling Irish economy!"
