Must have been living under a rock

Gosh even i knew that.Maybe we should have an AFF christmas lunch there.
For all those health professionals in QLD the Courier Mail has a story quaranteed to make your blood boil this morning-
Payroll debacle: they were warned | Courier Mail
It seems the QLD government has refined the Peter Principle-people are promoted until they reach their level of incompetence-to new heights.
Booked a MEL-PER flight for this coming Sunday morning.
With TT.

Haha! Given my belief that I would sooner flap my arms than fly TT, this is quite the turnaround for me. But I have no choice really, every other flight is at least double, mostly 2.5 or 3 times the cost because of the footy finals. (Which is why I'm going).
Just hoping for a mostly empty plane so I can get a row of 3 to myself. I have a feeling my 6'5" frame will struggle a in a normal seat.:-|
May have had points but what seat availability on appropriately timed flights considering the AFL Finals...good luck![]()

I'll pencil that one in with pleasure :!:AMEX flights to Melb for myself & +1 nicely booked, so much easier with Virgin! With Qantas, if you didn't have the absolute cheapest flight (even comparing all Red e-Deals) you'd always need to pay the difference. When booking I noticed the Saver fare was the higher price Saver one, but I was still not asked to pay any difference. Great work DJ!
I propose a gathering (those of you in Melb I've already touched base with anyway......) ; Mexican Restaurant Melbourne CBD Restaurant Melbourne CBD Bar Mamasita on Friday November 18
Will be great to catch up with the AFF contingent who I've not seen since my trip I did over to Melb just before I moved here![]()

Accom rates look to be pretty horrendous :!:
An interesting aside: you can take the train from Sydney to Melbourne and it seems plenty of room either side of the Grand Final. Day journey and overnight journey are available.
Schedules:
- Fri 30 Sep: Sydney Central - Melbourne Southern Cross
- dep 0742 arr 1856
- dep 2040 arr 0735+1
- Sun 02 Oct: Melbourne Southern Cross - Sydney Central
- dep 0935 arr 2108
- dep 1955 arr 0655+1
Prices going for $130.26 each way in Economy (standard, no saver tickets), $183.29 in First standard or $271.29 for a Sleeper on the overnight services.
Not too bad compared to some airfares, although no points obviously (except for your credit card).... as well as no free food or drink available and much slower journey time.
Time to start wheeling out those CtC PC points then. Or HH points. Of course, who is to say that hotel availability of award rooms is already very low, or even zero (i.e. those special "blackouts" on award rooms that hotels tend to do when events of great significance come to town).
Who would even dare to suggest otherwise.I like the fact you refer to me & +1 being in town as an event of great significance![]()
