Not idea what you are talking about but I should have a Samsun Galaxy S in a the next few day. Hope I can make simple phone calls fom this phone.
I don't know what Messenger is like on phones but if it is anything like MSN on computers then I will simply not have enough data allowance with the phone plan I will be on to be able to use it.eBuddy is a Messenger program for phones (there are probably others). Have no fear, there is an Android version as well!
Just heard that Gold Coast airport has been shut all day. Most flights earlier this morning diverted to BNE. Now they are mostly cancelling flights, flying people to BNE and then bussing them down.
It's been raining all day, but the weather doesn't seem to be that bad. We have had a lot worse weather than this and the airport didn't skip a heartbeat!
Anybody know why it's closed?

Since you had some time, I would have bailed up the first guy again, saying "your colleague doesn't agree with your assertion about iPads - he just told me something different" and then walk away as they start discussing it....Went to pick up somebody from the airport today. Had my bag with me, going through security I did my normal thing. Just as I put my bag through I hear....
You don't have an iPad in here do you?
Oh, well, yes I do actually.
The security 'guy' stopped the whole thing and decide to give me a lecture that iPads MUST always be removed at security at Gold Coast airport. Before I could do the "Ive travelled through here 5million times and never taken out my iPad" he advised me this rule has always been in place.
How rude I thought, nevertheless, I moved on.
With a little time to kill before I had to leave, I wanted to test his theory. I went through a second time at a different lane. No problems with my iPad. Asked the security guy about iPads and he just waved it through.
Gotta love that consistency.

Wonderful way to start my week. After waiting 4 months for my new car, I got a call from the yard today:
"Hi drewbles, it's Mr Car Dealer here"
'Yes Mr Car Dealer' *instantly worried as i'd bought the car from Miss Car Dealer and was expecting her to call me to advise me my toy had arrived*
"Mr drewbles your car has arrived..... but it's the wrong colour"
'...... um right...'
Now, the negotiations begin. 4 month wait for new car in the right colour, or try and get the price down so low I can't say no to this one. Which would you do (the original car was British Racing Green and the delivered car was Black; all other features are as ordered though)?

So now I just don't care any more. Especially in the USA - it's not worth arguing with the TSA, especially if you are not a US citizen.
Hang them out to dry. Have they offered any compensation, let them make the first offer and work from there. You have to be compensated for the additional 4 months of not having the car as ordered, or be prepared to accept black - but they have to pay for the mistake.
Ask where the green one was shipped - perhaps they sent the green one to a person waiting for the black one and it can be re-shipped at their cost. Make them do all the legwork.
I would take the Black car and ask for a sizeable discount. Now, the negotiations begin. 4 month wait for new car in the right colour, or try and get the price down so low I can't say no to this one.
