Facebook Axes Places.

We used Facebook check in last night but looks like its being phased out.

Facebook quietly admitted that it would be "phasing out" Places, which had been available only on cellphones, while at the same time expanding the ability to add locations to posts by allowing users to tag cities, venues and landmarks in everything from status updates to Wall posts using any device.

Saw that too, bit disappointed as I use it quite a lot. And don't want yet another app to do the same thing, no matter how much better the app may be at it.

Ho hum yet another JQ flight cancelled today - an early morning BNE/MEL this time. Pax were put on QF flights via SYD but lots of pax not happy about a lengthy transit in SYD of several hours as SYD/MEL wasn't until 1500 ish. Wonder what the cancellation du jour will be tomorrow?

Any reason why they keep cancelling them? Someone forget to sync the maintenance schedule, like last time?

I'm thinking that they must be way too short on crews for the scheduled flights they have. You simply couldn't be that unlucky with a/c going u/s on a daily basis. It's gotta be crewing issues. Happy to be proven wrong, however the disrupted pax often say JQ didn't give a reason - not that it would really make any difference to the pax as if your flight's cancelled, it's cancelled.

My JQ flight on Sunday was cancelled because of a Crewing issue. I've heard many others canceled because of the same reason.

They have been ferrying aircraft a lot, which only further proves that it's a Cabin Crew issue. (or lac of)

Sort of related, a QF FA tonight said they, I assume QF, are putting on 100 casual FAs in ADL.

Its a well known fact that you need to slow down when attempting a corner in your new shiny XR6T Ute, even when doing a burnout, otherwise you might end up in my neighbours garden after taking out a fence and a tree, at which time you will decamp with your mates! Dont know why you took the keys, the car is not drivable now!

That happened tonight whilst you were at home? Did you hear/see it?

Easy for the police to find the owner of the keys, considering he left his car with its number plates in your neighbours garden.

Heard it, heard the bang, and then the whole street went looking for the wreck. It took us a while to realise the car in the garden (adjacent to the car park) was well parked for a reason!

Some things in life are not meant to make sense.

'Messenger isn't available now.' The $64 question would have to be why?

Happened on more than one occasion in DRW with Holden Commodores when certain drivers were heading back to Robbo Bks from Shennanigans.

Did it have bumper stickers on it like "caution - vehicle frequently sideways" or "only milk & juice come in 2 litres"?

No stickers, it was too new, mind you there is a van with NT-Hunypot on it just down the street.
