Interesting role. Presume North Africa, or one of the tax havens like Jersey. Although FIFO sounds like mining, so I'll stick with North Africa.

Sounds close. The timezone is still GMT, so that might narrow it down a bit more ;)

Back in the Sydney First lounge for an hour or so, got recognized by one of the bar staff, is that a bad sign, breakfast was good as usual. Rather boring without a few friends to share a few stories and drinks, but flying direct is rather plan, more points and a better lounge but not a real fan of the 4:30am alarm.

SO has missed a couple of flights recently DRW/BNE & BNE/PER & come close to almost missing another BNE/PER 2 days ago, so mindful of him being on a hat trick I thought I'd ring him at 0530 WST to make sure he was awake & heading to the airport for his 0735 flight.

I got a rather groggy just woken up type response so I'm thinking 'here we go again' but when I said "don't you have a flight to catch at 0735" he replied that it was 1030. Turns out that he does have a 0735 flight, however not for another couple of weeks when he flies PER/BNE.

I did get to remind him that his PER/XCH flight goes from the international terminal so wasn't all in vain & yes, he has his passport. He still had time to catch a few more zzzzz's as he didn't finish work until after midnight so I'm guessing would've only had about 4 hours sleep.

I think I'm turning into a SWMBO.

Wow Ozbeachbabe what a great service you offer fellow AFF members... Wake up calls...

That would be great when I am away...

Not needed when I am at home as I have a 3 year old with a 5 am wake up feature or if she doesn't wake me up the fridge door is open for too long is the other alarm clock... And yes we do have the door locked but she now carries the chair over and if that is not high enough she put a stool on top of the chair... OH&S issue with that construction...

We now don't use the door lock as she will hurt herself...

We have a 1 year old granddaughter who can get herself into a highchair.Little ones certainly have an innate sense of lateral thinking.
