Do you pay them 50cents or do they pay you for drinking the stuff?

I reckon the words Bud and Beer are oxymorons,I've tasted some horrible 'beers' in my time but 'Bud' is the worst,
I think I would rather drink warm camel pee rather than Budweiser.

Yea it's a bit watery. Doesn't do too well in Oz but its quite popular in Europe. No2 behind Heineken I believe. Miller is about the only Yankee beer I will drink.

I'm not a big fan of Miller either but it's better than Bud,but I'm not a big fan of any American beers to be honest, however that's just my personal opinion,we all have personal tastes and what I like may not be your cup of tea,I do like Heineken though and find the European style beers like Grolsch etc very drinkable.
Cheers (And I do mean cheers:!:):)

Something I have noticed recently is that you can buy both Import Heineken and Locally Brewed Heineken in Oz. Yet the Import seems to be marginally cheaper for some reason (and nicer). I would of expected the Import to be more expensive.

Perhaps it has something to do with 'parallel imports',recently I was able to buy a 1KG tin of Nescafe, manufactured in Brazil, for $9.50 ,which is heaps cheaper than the local product yet tastes the same, actually a little better, seems a bit darker roast.maybe the same thing happens with beer?

My current choice of beers includes Skol, Flag, Heineken, Stella Artois. When it's free, everyone tends to go for the Heineken. When paid for... Skol:!:

I noticed with several 'imported' beers that when they started making them under license in Australia, the price went up!

Stella seems really popular in the UK,in fact when I was there in 2007-08 it seemed even more popular than UK beers, haven't tried Skol or Flag.

Thinking about a few days in Adelaide and mulling over hotel choices, anyone have anything to say about the H.I? ,seems ok but it's in Hindley St,which isn't exactly the salubrious end of town is it?

Yep,I managed a Greene King pub on a contract for 12 months and we sold as much Stella as the UK beers, mind you it was very close to the BBC offices so maybe it was just the clientele at that particular pub.

As a frequent visitor to Philly at the start of the century I got to enjoy the local Pensylvania beers-Rolling Rock and Yuenling.

For my last trip to ADL I booked my usual hotel and kinda wish I hadn't .. I remember looking at the Crowne Plaza and wishing I'd booked in there. Nice location, pretty new I think. Can you get good rates for the dates you want?

Ok this is about as off -topic as it gets:
Tip for new players / parents putting contact on school books.
Spray the table with water, lay the contact on the wet table and then cover the books. Dry surface with towel.
No bubbles ever :D
Acknowledgement to a dear netball mum who told me this on the weekend and saved me an inordinate amount of grief :)

Since I discovered Belgian beers, wheat beers, massively alcoholic beers from cloisters full of dregs I don't drink Heineken etc. Although the missus thinks my beers are garbage and prefers grolsch etc. Leffe is particularly good. There's something wrong with the locally brewed Dutch beer. Actually bud was Ok at the gridiron with ribs and Texas BBQ sauce!
