A SINGLE-ENGINE plane crammed full of illegal drugs was intercepted by federal fighter jets today after it strayed into the airspace of Marine One -- while President Barack Obama was on board -- near Los Angeles International Airport.
Another example of the extreme knowledge of the journalism world :!:

It only has the call sign Marine One when the President is on board.

But the report said the President WAS on board?
You obviously missed my point.

If the helo was using the Marine One call sign then the President must have been on board so it was a redundant statement. If he was not on board it would have had another call sign.

(That makes sense to me)

Did tattoos ever have hip status?

Seemed to be a thing for a while. Saw plenty of my Australian friends (mainly women) have tattoos. Usually innocuous ones, nothing big or major.

Were they hip? Don't know... from my experiences they were mainly ankles, upper arms.... ;) :p

They remove tattoos with lasers, right? (Well, I suppose you could use a kitchen grater, but that'd probably hurt more)

It would appear that no area on the body is safe. I saw a youngish woman recently at Central station with tattoos everywhere including matching tattoos on her hamstrings just below the mini skirt.

Hideous would not begin to describe them but what would I know!

IMO, tattoos just make it easier to spot the knobs - saving you time actually meeting them:mrgreen:.....has it been any different:?:
You may just about be right....

What were your eyes doing at that level?!!! :p Just kidding....

We get to London on the 7th. Will you be in the back blocks of London or at the Hilton West Africa??

I'll be there now from Sunday till towards the end of March (have had to rush back for an emergency, out on tomorrow's charter from site then fly CKY-CDG-LHR arriving Sunday morning), so we'll catch up. I'll be on R&R then so will have lots of time for a catch-up and hopefully SO will be out of hospital by then.

CKY eh?

A pic would be nice. I spent a weekend in Paris checking in with my Port Moresby address. The hotel had scrambled it. It took a while to explain to them that 'Papua New' wasn't a place in Guinea, but part of the name of a different country altogether. Then they wanted to know if there were cannibals living there.

Cheers skip

Yup. I actually work closer to the Liberian border, but CKY is the easiest port to fly in to (take a charter from there to site). I'll try get some pics up over the next few days. I do have some on FB.. but not everyone I know is on there! :)
