Interesting idea. Former ALP left faction member to lead the Liberals and the Liberals to agree to merge with the national party. The former is more likely, IMO.![]()
It makes sense from an LNP POV. The country wants the LNP but doesn’t want Abbott, they also want Rudd. So Rudd takes the LNP to power, before they stab him in the back, and someone else takes power. Win-win so long as Gillard nor Abbott do the stabbing.
On another note, does the Liberal National Party suggest it’s more National, so would the National Liberal Party be more fitting for the Liberals?
