And speaking of Duct tape - Duct Tape Island : Photos : MythBusters : Discovery Channel

The new season of Mythbusters starts in a few weeks in the U.S ... first episode is called "Duct Tape Island". Yep, those crazy guys are on an island and using Duct tape in numerous survival skill type ways.

Speaking of new series I'm sure I saw a promo on TV during the week about a new series of Air Crash Investigation starting this week but I can't find it
in the online guide so not sure when it's going to start.

What seat did you end up with?

Broke one of my golden rules 2 weeks in a row.

Last week went from 25J->23B->29D->27J and finally 23J at airport kiosk.
This week went from 25J->23B at T-80 and OLCI and then Friday morning I found myself at back of 738! :shock: Just as well I was able to get 7D as it was an absolutely chocker block full flight.

On another note, just sitting in BNE QF J lounge and notice a lot of Sydney bound flights (including mine) delayed due ATC. A look at the NAIPS weather doesn't look too bad. Has it been bad down there and there is a backlog or is something else going on? Wrong to blame ATC if it is in fact weather

I also want to sort out my MEL to BNE ticket as well.

Wouldn't your baggage receipt show you whether they're tagged through to MEL or not...?

Not sure. I just arrived from SYD on QF542 and it left on time and arrived a little early. Not sure if there is any backlog but notice most SYD bound flights are OK. I am in BNE business lounge right now. Were you on QF551?

The girl in MNL was having many problems with my booking.

I do have a bag receipt showing to MEL.

It is more the MEL to BNE leg.

I have lodged a complaint on the web site.

Generally it is best to deal with so-called Qantas staff for domestic bookings. I have lost count of the number of times where I have not been issued a boarding pass for domestic legs in BKK but had to wait until I got into SIN.

As for bags they will only be tagged to MEL and you need to collect and check-in again to BNE.

The bag thing doesn't worry me in MEL because I have to do the customs thing.

It is more the fact i wanted to make sure it was all ok.

Yes. Just landed SYD. The captain on this flight said it was due to a combination of bad weather and being down one ILS. I saw at least 3 flights delayed.

Ahhh! You should have known I was travelling today as there was rain in both SYD and BNE. Managed to get to BNE unscathed today....

Well my asus is back... This time they replaced the motherboard and the power adaptor. Yet to plug it in... Wonder if it will fry itself again.

The one stupid thing tho... The windows coa is on the power adapter. The new one is coa-less. Grrr.

Having a COA on the power adaptor is against MS's terms and conditions for OEM last time I checked!

Really!?!?!? On my Lenovo X200 it's on the bottom of the machine ; needless to say it's no longer readable as due to heat it has faded. I notice on their X220 it sits just under the battery now, interesting to see whether it fares better or not. Speaking of which, I don't like the design of the X220... it's trackpad isn't as nice as previous models.
