No day of the week is safe if I happen to be flying.

The 8:00pm BNE-SYD has not started boarding yet and the 9:00pm BNE-SYD was a possibility to miss curfew. So I was moved from the 9:00pm to the 8:00pm.

Just at a guess at this stage the 9:00pm is winning on which flight is likely to board first.

Not good as the funeral is 10:30am tomorrow morning. :(

You will be fine; keep a positive attitude.

Ok so who had a bad start to the day because AFF was down.

There was quiet a long chat on the AFF Facebook group about it.

Thanks to the update from admin.

There was forum notice about this (in the orange bar at top) before the planned downtime. Don't tell me no one read it?

(Then again, people in our building were notified two weeks ago that early in the morning RCD testing was going to be done. So, who has the right to be bitterly annoyed when the power cuts in and out during test times?)

An oldie but a goodie, and would be in the humour thread if it were not for the odd below MSALT occurrence in Australia recently!

Well I'm here at HeliPacific 2012 and no defence force 'whirlybirds' in sight :(

I'm told they brought a UAV this year, but I'm with Chilli so will check it out tomorrow.

Bit smoky near LWs work in the last hour or so?????

Cannot remember any provisions in the budget but it looks like we are spending $1.7B on converting some Rhinos to Growlers (Super Hornet Electronic Warfare variant)

I need some info.
A mate ( ex pat kiwi in the US) is flying in to Sydney next week , he will visit his daughter and then head to NZ.
He has ( And he can't imagine why he did this) Booked himself on a 6.30 am flight to AKL from SYD on Monday

He asked me to estimate how much time he should leave himself for clearing security etc and be in reasonable time to catch his flight.

As I have only rarely flown SYD - AKL ( usually go from BNE, and not a 6.30 am for crickey's sake) I am not able to provide him wth accurate info

So I wold appreciate any feed back from those used to flying out of SYD ecially at 6.30 am on a Sunday.

Gosh I love this site. ........

Yes. Nice to see we just won 18-10. No problems with the awarding of the try towards the end to Qld :D. Even without it, we'd have won!

Like you, there is no bloody way I'd have booked such an early flight - what was he thinking?

I'd be getting to check-in no later than an hour before take-off, longer if he doesn't have status for Express Clearance through Customs.
