Just checked voicemail at home. Little Miss's specialist rang on Tues arvo to say her MRI was all clear. No tumour on the optic nerve. :D
Must remember to check voicemail more often.
And see an OT or paed or something to see if there's anything we should do about the nodding.

That's great news :)
It's pretty nerve wracking waiting, I'm very happy for Miss Katie

Wow!

Cleaning an old box and just found my Golden Wing Club Renewal from 31 July 2001 - $302.

That was an expensive $302 for a month and 11 days ;)

I did a bit of cleaning out myself; ended up throwing away 4 plastic bags of junk.

But, I did manage to find my first QFF card ever - my QFF white card when I joined in 1994, when the QFF logo was the QF logo beset with 6 smaller red triangles.

And my parents even had my title at enrollment as "Master". Yes, quite old fashioned (and yes when I started flying QF myself again, I had to log onto my profile and have my title changed appropriately).

In case you thought our pollies are bad, what about India-
The 14th Lok Sabha was the first in which it was crystal clear just how many members were alleged crooks. Thanks to new rules pushed into law by a group of fed-up college professors after years of resistance from dozens of political parties, candidates for the Lok Sabha for the first time had to disclose their assets and criminal records. The disclosures seemed to have little impact on the 2004 election: 128 of the 543 winners had faced criminal charges, including 84 cases of murder, 17 cases of robbery and 28 cases of theft and extortion. Many face multiple criminal counts—including one M.P. who faces 17 separate murder charges—and no major party is beyond reproach. Because the disclosure requirement is new, it's impossible to plot a trend line, but most experts say the situation is deteriorating. "The general opinion is that the influence of criminals in politics is steadily increasing," says Himanshu Jha of the National Social Watch Coalition.

drron.. What inspired that contribution? If the apparent law 'architects" & ruling leaders have this type of dubious past, how can a decent democracy exist?? I for one can, without prejudice, in time to you explain & reveal the best answer..
Thanks for the interesting thread.. :D

Was listening to what may have been the ABC on my BNE-SYD flight on Friday and they were discussing the Chinese economy and whether it is growing or not as they have a funny way of (forced) saving and then lending money out again and then writing off debts.

Really unusual analysis which may well be true but for those that do not quite understand it is a load of bull. I can see why the world is in trouble....

In honour of becoming Australian PRs, perhaps you should try some local product - Australian sparkling white (or what Australians would probably call "champagne")! :p Just kidding.......

Gotta love the Jubilee Concert!

Ye Gods - Grace Jones, one for the teenagers, is 64 - The outfit!!! The Hula Hoop! The legs!!

mmmm Annie Lennox - not the most flattering dress.....and taking a leaf from Bob Dylan she murders her back catalogue.

Oh yes - Rolf Harris - bloody genius.

The classical music is not quite so well received.

Rob Brydon - Very professional.

Sir Tom Jones - his voice is holding up much better than Sir Cliff

Not a big Robbie Williams fan but not a bad version of Mack the Knife, and is it me but are the "older" comedians outdoing the younger set?

Shirley Bassey is 75 ........

I often wonder why Kylie didn't marry me when she had the chance. Then I remember she has never met me....although that is probably a good thing for her.:D

Who let Alfie Bo and Renee Fleming into the Palace?

Elton John is only a year older than Grace Jones???? Can't see Bernie anywhere.

More Rolf Harris please!

Peter Kay - Fabulous

Kinda hoped Sir Paul would perform with Ringo :(

Sir Paul McCartney - A constant reminder of just how much John Lennon is missed. :(

Yep Zadok the Priest followed by I Vow to Thee My Country surpasses all that has gone before.

Whoops, the inaugural Scoot flight went tech!

My barber the other day was remarking that he admires Scoot for using 777s (ex-SQ ones) and hates flying a 333 due to the problems reported with it.

So much for that theory! :p

Jokes aside, suppose it could happen to anyone. Bad luck, though!

Very cheap JQ Trans-Tasman fares at sale, perhaps matched on competitor fares?

In other words, can't wait to hear this one.
