Rain held off. Very convincing result. :)

Apparently it's been raining for three days straight here, although it has finally stopped this morning. Hopefully it will clear up for the FT DO on the weekend.

It cant have been continuously raining as I have been in SIN a bit in that period and no rain at all, nor any sign of recent rain.

Fingers crossed it is dry for the do - I have still to get a replacement umbrella when my last one went awol.

Well, 'twas exactly what my boss said this morning when I remarked that it hadn't stopped raining since I arrived. :?

Had a very full fist day of our management meeting today (12 hours :( ) and just got back from the evening dinner. We went to Coriander Leaf at Clarke Quay - a really nice "fusion" restaurant. We walked there and back from the hotel (Gallery at Roberston Quay) and did not get wet, so it appears to be drying up.

Edit: Here is the forecast according to my little PDA gadget:

Did indeed. Our seats were under-cover, so would have been protected if it had rained. But was great to watch the first innings. Marto was fantastic, and helped along by several dropped catches.

I forget, are you able to join us for the dinner?

Kiwi Flyer - no, unfortunately not. I'll be leaving SIN by car on Saturday afternoon to go to KUL and will return to SIN on Tues evening. I do have plans to meet up with serfty on Friday evening for dinner, but I'm not going to attempt the midnight "munchies" session - I need to get some sleep so that I'm functional for the following three days! :o

I watched the game on TV but must have been even better to witness it live at the ground.

New ground record at the Gabba for all matches including rugby union.

I don't know. I didn't get to see it on TV, just live. But you can't afford to take your eyes off the play for one ball or you will miss something!

Yes, the atmosphere was enormous. The ground is looking a real treat now with the stands complete. All was full except for a splattering of free seats in the members area.

All well and good but I have just bought a t-shirt that says "I might have alzheimers but at least I don't have alzheimers".

When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord (Lev. 1:9). The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?

Last year I was checking in. I told the ticket lady, "Send one of my bags to Darwin, send one to Perth, and send one to Hobart." She said, "We can't do that!" I told her, "You did it last week!"

I remember when I went to Montreal and my bags went to Calgary. As I was explaining it to the insurance company, I said 'I saw the in Los Angeles', at which point the insurance agent just said 'There's your problem - you went through LA'
