Heli landing spots in bne cbd are rare. I can't think of any building with one except the two major hospitals just outside of the cbd.

Can anyone think of any building with one? Perhaps Google maps would help...

I can't think of any either, even on the Gold Coast they are rare at hotels.

I remember growing up the family across the river from us had a helipad in his backyard next to the pool, and would park his helicopter there overnight. I thought he was the coolest dad alive, until he crashed it.

Back in the mid 80's I use to live along the river just near TSS and there was 1 or 2 along in Paradise waters.

I think one was owned by Stefan and another I can not remember who owned that.

Ouch. Everything's bigger in the U.S -- Including the cost of the Disney photos.

USD10 - USD12 per photo. To be honest, for profiteering photos at attractions, they could do a lot worse than that.

Awesome performance from the socceroos tonight in Brisbane

Never been to a Socceroos game before, part of me wants to go to Amman for their game against Jordan in September!

Aaaahhh... that's the random event at Suncorp Stadium that kept me stuck in traffic for an extra half hour this evening.

Yeah, didn't catch the crowd number though.

Upon investigating Amman...looks too expensive unfortunately. Looking at at least $1400 return, bit too much for me at this stage. Maybe some time in the future!

Thanks to an unexpected change of my meetings this week, well when I say unexpected I don't really mean it, my main meeting was changed for the 4th time, I find myself in the QF/BA F Lounge at LHR T3 some 6 hours before my flight. This has to be dangerous!........hic.

Another day and I am back at the airport. Today I am flying ARN-OSL-BGO-LHR on SAS and BMI/BA my BMI points ticket became a BA ticket, I wonder if there is a lounge in BGO.

Not much in the way of food in this lounge was hoping for a bit of breakfast.

How hard is it to find a Hotel in BNE that you can land your helicopter at.

Dad is involved with a helicopter and they have to come down to BNE with it for a few days and none of the good hotels will allow you to land it at there premises.

Looks like he is staying out in the back blocks of BNE

When I flew out of BGO a year ago, nope, no lounge (flew out on BMI and had *A Gold). Not sure on BA though.

I find in general intra-EU lounges are pretty poor on their food selections. What time do you hit LHR?

7:30pm I land but heading an hour north of Heathrow.

Has anyone else here had the misfortune to smell, close-up, Stinking Bishop cheese? Or even (*shudders*) eat it?

The bar/restaurant staff at Hilton Perth were discussing it Saturday night, so a piece eventually came out for a little 'sniffaround', including by me and a guy I was chatting to at the bar.

Never smelt cheese like it. It is soft, and makes blue cheese smell sedate. The only thing I can recall that is remotely as offensive is Limburger, which does not smell as bad, but is detectable much further away!
