Re: The totally off-topic thread - Real Estate Agents - Grrrrrrr!!

Hey, Ray White Real Estate, Thornleigh...especially your "Sales & Marketing Professional" Dion Verzeletti:

We've a sign on our letterbox saying "No Junk Mail".

So a letter addressed as "Neighbor" full of your marketing rubbish and Dion's business card shows you're too clever by half... and can't read.

We do plan to sell our house and downsize in the next few years, and we won't use halfwits such as yourselves.

Someone clarify: merely putting a sign of "No Junk Mail" on your mail box holds no legal water, right?

It's merely just an advisory measure or notice (a bit like "Please Keep Off The Grass"); you would like people not to put junk mail in, but legally you can't really do anything if they do so.

I think the new age technique in marketing is to annoy someone. Apparently, it works. (Or not so in this case).

For those of you waiting in depserate anticipation, the bloody alarm next door stoped going some time on Thursday. Phew. I now have a way to contact the owners withut resorting to a psychic or ouija board, should the battery for that device be replaced at some point and ultimately die.

FWIW, many such alarms with back up battery can be set to trigger when the mains supply is interrupted - maybe the power had been cut to your neighbouring home.

I don't wish to get controversial , but I thoroughly agree with you. On a related note, I noticed a woman of fairly advanced years dropping something into my clearly marked 'no junk mail' mailbox. When I pointed this out to her, she replied "Oh, but it's for the church" as if this somehow exempted her. What is it with some of these people? Oh, and I do get real estate stuff dropped in the box on a fairly regular basis.

I haven't slept either.Have to tell us what le Tour is like.I am hooked on it.
Tour was great, mind you I would say that...we were given free hopitality passes by greenedge not long after we arrived :D
crash robbed us of a classic sprint finish though...it was still good!

In Rome now...this place is nuts. And hot...

For those who helped when I asked about BA cheap upgrades to club Europe and resulting points/sc, the flight did indeed credit at business class levels, my first J lot of SCs credited to QF!

Now on 295sc, an agonizing 5sc away from my first ever bit of airline status which I will gain when tomorrow's airberlin flight to TXL credits. Thanks all, couldn't have done it without you :D!

Also ek J was another very average experience. Didn't even get a welcome drink. That airline is a joke, thank god they've got hype and the network they do...

Is that a typo?

FWIW I find EK J to be reasonable, and superior to say UA J

Almost anything is superior to UA J, but just remember The Three Stooges line in this case:

Customer: What kind of an idiot do you take me for, anyway?
Shemp: Why, is there more than one kind?

I think UA Y is worse than UA J.

But I take your point... I don't think EK J is the best J product out there, but it is certainly one of the good ones.

I would either ring or e mail them and say you don't follow what the client wants so why would I want to deal with someone who can not and does not follow direction.

On the 21 June 2012, my 104 grand mother died, thanks to those people who sent me condolence messages.

Interesting since the funeral, or since the death notices appeared in the local paper about 3 or 4 solicitors have sent our family letters telling us that they have a copy of the final will, and we should use their services. My grand mother had been somewhat organized and written a few but I guess over the years had changed solicitors.

We had actually phoned one a few months ago and asked one if they had an papers and had said they had nothing, liars.

Lawyers can't trust them as far as you can throw them.

Flew airberlin yesterday. Like virgin, probably a bit better. Choice of Chocolate bar or sandwich, free soft drinks, juices, water, tea, coffee etc. Alcohol upon payment. Exit rows able to be purchased for 20eur. They fit 31 rows in the 738 so I didn't risk not being able to fit my knees in but it actually looked ok.

And that means I am officially no longer nothing, but instead something! Silver status for the first time (when it posts)! Thanks to everyone...would not have been close to possible without this site. If I hadn't found this site you can be assured I wouldn't be on a 3 week holiday in Europe right now!

No typo

2 long hauls and 2 mid hauls and I am left unimpressed. Note though I'm talking from the perspective of the usual pricing, as I paid less than $2000 for my ticket. If I paid 6k+ I'd be left rather annoyed to be honest. Best flight was the last one dxb-ath. Don't get me wrong a lot of it is good but a lot of it also is rubbish for a business cabin (anything involving the humans on board...)

Going back to jokes...a-club plat. Upon check in at the Pullman in Berlin I asked what inclusions I get for the status, and was told "well you get advanced notice of our super sales"....lol. What is that, some kind of stab at me staying on a 79eur super sale rate?

Compared to the free Internet for two devices I got in London from the CP when staying on points it is night and day....but the welcome gift of a nice big glass bottle of water and the gummy bears have sweetened the mood :)
