Unlikely, looking at the daily JST833, it paints around ROK for the first time. Maybe I need to buy a unit at Laguna Quays and set up an ADSB feed!

You need too buy units all over Australia for us, and cover all traffic. :)

You won't look like a fool looking right, left and right again when crossing a one-way street.

I always look both ways. The time you don't some idiot will be driving the wrong way followed by some police ;)

Or a cyclist going in the wrong direction.

Indeed. Nearly got killed crossing the road in Central Park NYC. The cyclists absolutely fly and of course are silent. We were not very alert and only MrJulesmac pulling us back at the last minute saved us from a nasty incident. Potentially also hideously expensive given the cost of medical attention in the US!

Slightly more likely. Those cyclists are always breaking the rules, need to get them off our roads :p

How about hell no? Then they'll ride on the footpaths. Dodging and weaving between cyclists... *shudder*

Which of course is legal in QLD, much to the annoyance of some, and surprise for others!

Roads were built for cars, foot paths were built for pedestrians, cyclists should get their own lanes, but they shouldn't be a part of the road or footpath, as then you'll get accidents.

They even have their own traffic lights in Amsterdam

In Brisbane, we have plenty (not enough probably) cycle lanes. The problem is they are rarely wide enough, and/or they were formed simply by annexing space from a standard width car lane, making the car lane even thinner. Dumb, dumb, dumb.......

In other 'dumb' news, just got the latest QF Europe Sales email. The subject of the email is:

Book now. Fly later. The Europe Earlybird Sale is on.

Does anyone see anything that immediately strikes you as "DU'H!!!" in that subject? (Anyone here ever been able to book later but fly now?)

Cyclist who ride on the road need to have the road rules strictly enforced. simple. I spend many years cycling around Brisbane for transport and the bike lanes are rather ok but I had an accident with another cyclist once on a path and they berated the hell out of me for going so fast - "if you want to go that fast ride on the road". Reality was I was getting a run up to get up a hill. But there were many sections on my usual ride to uni, (on the road) that I was could be in the middle of the road keeping up with the cars or even passing them.

We somehow skipped spring, summer and autumn and returned to winter....

It was wonderful wasn't it. The Southeast, the new Melbourne. Just waiting for the hail now.

I think I'm now in the process of buying my first UK property.

Congratulations! If it's in Derbyshire I can check up on it for you from 2014!
