Command + V, Command + C it really isn't that hard. The pattern is to replace control with command.

I seem to find that generally the modifier in Apple contexts is Command rather than Control in PC contexts. Apart from that, most of the standard shortcuts don't appear to change.

I personally prefer Windows but of course I grew up on DOS / Windows 3 first, so kind of natural. One thing that always gets me on MacOS is that the menu bar at the top changes according to the active application, cf. Windows (and even most Linux) where each application (window) has its own menu bar.

The more annoying thing to get used to whilst travelling is not Apple vs. PC, but rather when non-US keyboards are used. Even UK keyboards have subtle differences which puts me out of my normal typing habit.

I can't quite remember why I don't like Safari. Maybe it's been a while, and I tried to run it on Windows (I don't have a Mac), but I think it might've had something to do with the poor quality of some web pages (rendering engine), or the memory consumption / speed. My mainstay everywhere is still Firefox.

Hi Bill sorry to hear of your mum’s passing. The photos are lovely and brought a tear to my eyes in reminding me of my mum. Mother's are generally the first person to creep into our hearts and remain there all our lives. My sympathies to you and your family. Helen

More importantly, to me at least, is we lost my dear sweet Mum this week.
My condolences to you and your family, Bill. In a recent post you mentioned she had fractured her hip so I gather things didn't go well, unfortunately:(

Condolences to you and the rest of the family Bill.

Your mother was a lovely lady and I had the pleasure to meet her a few years ago.

Condolences to you & your family Bill. Your Mother reminds me of my Nanna, & the dog looks adorable too.

Bill: Condolences to you and your family
Some of your grandchildren are probably old enough to remember her for the rest of their life

And I will probably forget again as it will be a while before I will use an Apple computer or Safari.

I have encountered keyboard issues in Thailand where some keys behave differently but I have also come across settings issue as well which are not always easy to fix.

I was trying to display the Priority Club website in HKG during my overnight transit last week and for the life of me it would display in Chinese every time. I set the country and language to English and everytime the website loaded it would default to ZH/CN. Everything is in Chinese. The country drop downs were in Chinese. Everything I tried did not work.

Somehow I managed to select German from the drop down list of countries and from there I was able to display the website in English.

Why some of these websites are designed like that is beyond me. The flag feature for some reason was not functioning on these free computers in HKG airport.

It was probably checking up the IP address and displaying Chinese based on that. i had similar is Russia last year, and in other countries. A bit like defaulting to google.com bs .com.au depending on the country you're in.
I had similar frustration when running late for my CX flight from DME-HKG. Could not get the local contact details to display on English, only Russian and Chinese. Clearly only Russian or Chinese speakers would travel CXbetween HKG and DME. ;)
Internationalisation and user study fail.
