I can't find a beer list, but from their food menu (which only includes wines), the other prices don't look exorbitant, so I must conclude that it's simply that one beer that thinks it's worth that much... their loss.

If those food prices are indicative of Sydney dine out prices then Perth is getting screwed! Hardly surprising..

A good 200gm steak in Perth is going to cost you $40 for just a piece of meat on a plate....

Tony Roma's is about $38. Hippo Creek $45-$60, Chesters in the Swan Valley $45, Raffles $2,000,000...

And here I was thinking £26 was a fair whack for a nice fillet steak at MPW's (Marco Pierre White). Guess not! It was pretty darn tasty, too

Plus it has a gold label. a distinctive, distinguished gold label which stamps its drinkers as people of class.

Then why are they serving it in Sydney ?
To make the week in Brisbane seem a little more bearable.

Not by much though. Money is the only thing that could make this place bearable....

Sorry to hear of your lose Bill,

It makes you realise how precious life is.

Sorry if this is too on topic, but for those in the know, when leaving PPP is the route out normally a banked 360º turn before continuing ascent.

Was on JQ this morning, as we rolled down the runway you can of course hear the engines and feel the vibration, don't get very high up when the engine noise completely cuts, could hear nothing, bank to the right and did a full 360º as i nervously glance out the window and realise we're not getting further away from the ground, but then after we complete the circle, the engines roar again and we continue ascending, then for the rest of the flight i heard the engines... so I don't know why they were powered down so much, and wondered if this was normal?

Certainly freaked me out a little bit. I realise when you take off you use more power than in cruise, but this turn sounded like they weren't running at all, alas i wasn't be the window so couldn't freak out looking back towards the wing!

Sounds like the pilot remained in the circuit awaiting clearance into controlled airspace. There are no set departures as its outside controlled airspace.

Might be worth posting in the 'Ask the pilot' thread, samh004.

True, I just figured being an A320 with Jetstar there'd be no local knowledge, and was mainly looking for an answer from markis10 anyway :p

Okay, just seemed odd that the engines were really reduced in power, or at least sounded like that.

Might have to look at one of those flight trackers and see if it was recorded, or would there be no record up there?

Unlikely, looking at the daily JST833, it paints around ROK for the first time. Maybe I need to buy a unit at Laguna Quays and set up an ADSB feed!

Happy Birthday to the LED (light emitting diode), your turning a big 50, and have come a long way!

You won't look like a fool looking right, left and right again when crossing a one-way street.
