Stuff the genie, I was more interested in Barbera Eden!

Posted on a wing and a prayer ...

So the Christmas trees are coming out, I saw one in the CBR J lounge today. Which lounge does Christmas the best or is it a corporate decision about what decorations are put up?

How clued up are people on EU regs? Plane was delayed 30 mins, took off then 45 mins in had to turn back. Now sitting in Gatwick awaiting a new plane. Does it count as a delay?

Most pathetic display by the wallabies. Looks like cutting Cooper has solved all their problems.

I thought he was injured. And having a quiet dummy spit over his contract.

Yes injured. But had a public dummy spit about the toxic wallabies atmosphere. Got fined $60000 and then offered a revised ARU contract on significantly reduced terms. My comment was around the various pronouncements from the wallabies camp that the atmosphere wasn't toxic and that they were all happy campers now that cooper was out of the squad/ had been fined etc. supposedly they are now all hunky dory and firing on all cylinders.

My comment was contrasting that "situation" against their performance, in particular that abysmal performance against Italy, where they seemed to turn off ten minutes from the end of the first half and didn't really come back for the second half. My comments notwithstanding some poor referring decisions.

I didn't watch the game. But a close score line against Italy is not a good look.
I think like most things in life, where there is smoke there is fire.
Depth in Australian rugby is lacking at the best of times. Yet they manage to remain near the top of the rankings.
Cooper on a good day is a poor man's Carlos spencer. He is a turnstile in defence and in my opinion costs more points than he earns.
I think deans is the wrong man to coach him ( and the wobblies for that matter ) and when you see what McKenzie can do , it's no wonder he ( cooper) feels aggrieved.
But that may also come from an inflated sense of his own worth.
Let's face it he would be lucky to get a game in AB colours and so playing in Australia is a logical option. As is the case with an increasing number of the wallaby squad.

It is I, Leclerc !

Indeed. The wallabies are depressing to watch. They have moments of good play were they hold onto the ball and try to work it. But then they invaribly fall back into kicking the ball away mode. Sure they have to kick sometimes, but its heartbreaking at thise other times when there is absolutely no obvious good in kicking. Still the referee did them no favours.

Given mackenzie's track record with the tahs and now the reds, he'd have to have his name written all have the wallabies job.

As for cooper he is pretty DYKWIA and his management connections can't be doing him any favours either.

Condolences Bill, Sue & family - thinking of you :)

Catching up on this thread, so my condolences as well straitman.

Fortunately I've had no deaths - just an apparent double eye operation on my son last Tuesday, to us (lay people) appears that it hasn't worked [now that he has opened his eyes]. MrsLW fired off an email to the surgeon (Professor at UQ) with photos, let's see what he gives us at next Mondays' meeting :o

Condolences to Straitman x 100, it's been a bad run. And to Lindsay and family, best wishes and thoughts, hopefully the meeting next week brings good news not obvious to the layperson, I laugh everytime I think of the last time our sons spent time together with yours most insistent that he was boarding a flight to MKY :), without a BP or FF number!
