My wife always drives me back from MEL - she gets to use the company car when I'm away. And I've usually (when not off the grog, like tomorrow) had a few at the Lounge.

Well I certainly have had a few, but have stayed awake as she drive us home.

Quiet night on the M1 and in the tunnels, apart from the jerk who came along Stafford Roaf at over 100kms.

I know exactly where I am.

Instead of attempting to wade through the human quagmire of around a million people packed into the streets and coves of Sydney, we were safely on top of the roof of one hotel. Fireworks show was great (relative to BNE at minimum), then it was simply downstairs to our room to retire.

Ended up going to a mates place for a few drinks. Adopted the one beer, one water method and feel quite good this morning.

Home in bed by 0130 up at 0700. Lucky I've got a great fiancé that doesn't mind driving when it's called for.

Now time to get everything ready for going back to work on the 3rd!

Considering they are both tourist destinations as opposed to origins I think the mayor would have more luck betting on the tables.

800000 people live on the Coast or within adjoining Logan Council, and another 1.7M within 60 minutes drive, thats a pretty good origin base, I am sure some of the 33000 folks travelling BNE to LOTFAP each month would prefer to leave OOL.

I like living in Brisbane and having a choice of airports that have their peak periods at different times, I can normally find a good fare at one of them.
