I also hate people who will send an e mail and then if you don't reply with in a few minutes will follow up with a ph call to ask if you got the e mail and when do I expect the order to be delivered.

I have an old school professional colleague who by all accounts was very formal back in the day. He sent me the same email twice while I was on leave, a formal letter (correspondence!) about the format for the journal that I edit. I had the out of office turned on, of course. 10am on the nominated day of my return I got a 3rd email about to say (I paraphrase) 'I did not ask you to acknowledge receipt of my email, so it's my fault, but can you acknowledge that you received my previous correspondence.' what the out of office didn't give it away. It was like he'd been sitting there all Christmas waiting for me to reply.

A few worrying minutes this evening when I looked at our QF5 booking for tomorrow. Many months ago I carefully selected exit rows seats 16A and 16B exit rows. Tonight I looked and the a/c has changed and the exit row is now 14. (new config) and the booking was showing that we were still in 16A & B which serfty informs me don't exist.

I ultimately decided to go ahead to go ahead and do OLCI and found, thankfully, that Qantas in their wisdom had moved us to 14J & 14K.

Thank you Qantas.

Hope the flight is on time for tomorrow.

If not a good session in Flounge

We also hope QF5 is on time as we already have 5 hrs from arrival in SYD to the QF5 departure. The F lounge is good/great but that's a bit much IMHO.

.... there are no better connections. :(

Agree that 5 hours is enough.

You can only eat so much and you have to be soberish to get on the flight.

I got back from 2.5 weeks leave on Monday. At some point last week, one of my staff put in a leave request for some days later in Jan.

Checking through my emails on Monday, I had an email from Payroll asking me to approve the as-yet unapproved leave asap, sent last week some time. They would have received an out of office email from me.
3 hours later I got another email from Payroll asking me to approve the as-yet unapproved leave ...

At least I didn't get a voicemail from them as well ...

Good result! - FWIW, once it was clear there was no "row 4" then it was certainly an equipment substitution to the new 3 class configuration with SKybed Mk II.

Row 14 are exit seats upper-deck.

Way too much.

For me these days I find 45 minutes is perfect time to spend in the F Lounge but difficult to leave only that short a time if one is connecting.

Well to go completely OT.I watched the ABC tonight and the documentary on Queen.Thoroughly enjoyed it.Looking forward to the Bee gees next week.

Idiots I have seen, had a job interview yesterday and they were running late. It happens, so no problems for me. However, it meant I saw the following interviewee. He was wearing jeans. Now if I was on the panel (and I've been on many) that would be an immediate turn off for me.

While it wasn't the highest level job out there, it was a customer facing role so you need to be dressed appropriately and at least one level better than what would be required for the job.

Still, one less person to worry about. :)

Jeans for an interview? Even I turned up at my retail job interview around 15 years of age wearing something better.

How old was the person who was in Jeans.

i had a staff member come to work wearing Jeans and when I said you can not wear jeans as the policy had not changed from yesterday when you asked me.

Her response was but I thought these ones would be OK because they are some brand name like Calvin Klien or something like that.

Mid 50's. Definitely old enough to know better. And they weren't designer jeans, they looked like Lowe's specials!
