What is wrong with everyone here. Honestly, some people really do talk about nothing. I don't get it.

Any suggestions for a lonely man in London?

That day you were playing Golf in Melbourne, I was riding my bike in a t-shirt and shorts.

Well you are much braver than me.

By the way that means nothing. One of the morons in the office has been coughing and blowing his nose every 5 minutes for past 2 days. He keeps taking his jacket off because he is hot? That was the main reason he got sick in first place.

There is a reason I do not get a cold or flu that often and it has nothing to do with the flu vaccine. People make fun of me because I wear more layers of clothing that everyone else.

Greek is as greek does.

With it going quite icy cold in Perth it was time for the Givenchy PJs from SQ flight.

Hey I layer as well. It is all about reading your own body, but sometimes if you cop a virus there is nothing you can do about it, despite how well you clothe yourself but it does not help if idiot co-workers come in if sick.

My sons have a lot of them. The latest Givenchy PJs off SQ are the best ever fabric wise so don't hold back in the pursuit of lovely warm winter PJs care of your favourite airline.

How long are you in ADL tomorrow cove?? I have trips to MEL & ADL to organise in the next two weeks - just might bump into you

I have no idea what you are talking about but if you are talking about prevention is better than a cure then I understand.

No doubt referring to the old Greek wife's tale that wearing layers prevents cold and flu.

I remember there was a doco about cold/flu's and they showed the guys in Moscow that swim during winter. They asked one of the guys, were they scared of getting sick, their reply was no, you have to encounter a virus first. Oh and medhead, it isn't just a old Greek wife's tale, probably more a old Southern Europe wife's tale.

I will be in Adelaide from late Monday night thru to Thursday afternoon and was pleased to be able to stay at West Lakes Resort this time seeing it is close to work. If the RAA office is still open in the West Lakes Shopping Centre I may try to do a Shintaro10x with Woolies gift cards.

Even Benjamin Franklin realised that the common cold was transmitted through the air.
During the 40s and 50s it was studied at the Common Cold Unit at Salisbury in the UK.It didn't matter how long you were exposed to cold you didn't catch a cold if you were alone.
the reason it is more common in cold weather is we tend to stay indoors longer and increase our exposure to a viral carrier.Warm clothes will not prevent it.
I often where shorts in winter and in Scotland wore short sleeved shirts most days but I very rarely catch a cold.Probably because I am an unsociable b*stard.;):p:lol::shock:

Thanks drron for your thoughts on the cold virus. I still use a bit of Vicks and keep out of big crowds in winter as well.

alcohol is great for killing viruses.. try scotch or rum:p:p

When I was on a cruise ship recently our friendly bar manager would clean our sunnies with vodka. Nice and squeaky clean.
