NSW people, did you know??

Yep - the dear old Container Deposit Scheme! I managed to dodge the fun of that one...there has been a heck of a lot of work to bring it into place but there is a flaw in it, as neighboring states don't have the same schemes. So if you are in a border town - drinks will be cheaper on the Vic side of the border. You can then pop over the border and deposit them and get your 10 cents back!

For years I’ve purchased kindle books through the US store. Over the last couple of years there have been US court settlements over price gouging I guess, on books. And settlement flows through to anyone who purchased books during the gouging period. Lucky me. I keep getting credit vouchers into my Amazon account. PS these are actually credit amounts into my account and not a scam. Just saved myself $30 USD on another purchase. It’s a keyboard and cover in rose gold to match my iPad. Been in my basket for weeks.

Cant recommend one in Canberra but I love my solar powered security window shutters! No wiring needed in our 70+yr house and press of a button; up, down, up, down, stop :)

Sounds a good idea I'll enquire about that. Turns out some places even have the Christmas order cut off in a few days - whilst I'm in MEL looking at the Dior exhibition. Geez, it's only 19 Oct!

For the AFL fans... Fremantle has played an absolute blinder at the trade table today. Nabbing pick 2 to go with pick 5 in the draft. Remarkable.
