I think i once heard a meterologist say that it takes about two weeks for the shortened hours of sunlight to have an impact on "cooling" down the climate. So in theory two weeks after the winter solistice is when the weather is coldest.. But i find that in Sydney at least, August is usually the coldest month.

Waiting in the SYD transfer lounge........ Hurry up already - its 0930 and I haven't had my Taittinger yet !!

I actually want it to get colder as we're supposedly going skiing this weekend. Is there any snow?

If the snow is cough (99% chance), I will make sure that I swipe my EDR card at BWS on the way up ;)

Yum !!!! :D

My standby for AA 40 was successful ( 3 no shows and ended up with 3 H and J to myself ) and I'm now safely in my room at Doubletree munching the infamous cookie.
Noice! Transcon F on a DONE4 with "Flagship" service.

Love those warm Doubletree cookies - and there's no calories if you ate it standing up
.... nor if they are broken ... ;)

We must have overlapped - I had the same brekky! However I think I was getting a manicure when you were posting this :D I'm pretty rubbish at being girly - smudged the nail polish fishing for my boarding pass within the hour! :(

I snagged the same F service on a DONE4 a cpl of years ago AA 18 ex SFO. Called the day before to move my flight up - and friendly AAgent left me in F, although now on 3-class ;).

Winning!

I must have been having my hot towel facial whilst you were eating your brekkie ;)!!

To make up for it - I'm onto round 2......

I've been a very spoilt princess over the last few days. I've now flown 3 of those flights, a Red-eye Snack, Dinner JFK-LAX and lunch today. I've taken pics and will hopefully get around to writing up a little report. AA Flagship service is outstanding .

And round 3...... Just to rub it in :)
