I have phoned Frankfurt airport Lost and found once today and I will be ringing them for the next few days to see when it turns up. Most annoying part is I had my Australian sim card inside the camera case.
Sorry to hear you lost your camera. Did you lose the lenses as well?

And if you lost your sim card as well that may explain why you did not respond to my sms....

Yes, cucumber and all :) They have a Hendricks coughtail on the menu which they couldn't make due to running out of Cointreau but they found me some cucumber, happy days :D
Happy days indeed! When I get back on the sauce, I now know what to request in the AA lounges!

*sigh* what are you supposed to do, when your boss assigns a role to you, an ongoing role that needs to happen from now until perpetuity, that you have absolutely no interest or desire to do, and then get told that its supposed to take up 50% of your time...the only saving grace is that it may involve quite a bit of domestic travel, and meetings where you just sit and do nothing...

Slightly disagree. I think luck has been pre-determined in our lives.

I am actually quite proud of what I have achieved in life although I could have achieved much much more. Believe it or not I was actually brilliant at most things at 3-4 years of age including complex mathematics and singing which I have no clue today. People used to admire me. I did not know how to handle my brilliance. And no I am no gloating. I could not be more humble and humiliated at the same time.

I believe it was destiny I did not go further. Believe what you will. I know my destiny and also have a theory about it all but it would be way out of the comprehension of most people. A little insight into either the mind of a brilliant man or a madman. You decide....

According to a study, how far you go in life is related to how much self control you have rather then how intelligent you are. I probably can agree on that.

Will powers success

I just read the application for a visa for Brazil - they want everything but the x-ray of my back teeth !!!!!!

On principle, a lot of countries have decided to make it as difficult (and expensive) for Australians to enter their country, as it is for their nationals to enter Australia.

Cant say I blame them.

Yeah, they wouldn't let me apply until I had confirmation of an exit flight - even if I planned to exit by other means! The turn-around in Australia is usually rather slow also - not sure if it still is? I ended up getting mine in Japan where there is a 5 day turnaround (compared with a listed Aussie turnaround of 28 business days at the time!) and I think the turnaround in London is similar, if you happen to be overseas in the interim. For me there was no way I could have relinquished my passport for over a month!

I finally managed to sample the new Hendricks coughtail today whilst passing through MIA again it's called The Continental :Hendricks, Cointreau, Lime and Cucumber. None of the bar tenders had heard of it despite it being on the AC Menu and they had no Cointreau, I asked him to substitute it with Grand Marnier and we got there in the end

"Put a little sparkle in your strut" by visiting Nordstrom shoe department and your trip will be a total success!
Thanks for educating me on gin.

No worries cove, I'd love to raid Nordstrom's but fear that may mean either building a bigger walk-in robe or getting a divorce or maybe all of the above

Indeed. Although an Australian passport does open a few doors, just depends what part of the world you are in.

Dual citizenship is the way to go if you are so lucky to get it without too many hassles. (ala the thread in the gazette).

Sounds like my job except for the travel part.

Personally I would love quite a bit of domestic travel, or international, where all I had to do was sit and do nothing at meetings. Many on this forum do that already and get free flights, nice hotels and status out of it. ;)

Interesting.... I have just reapplied for my Business Visa to be renewed for China.. Additional compliances now required & after the 3rd revised (typo) attempt, application submitted & hopefully have supplied & satisfied the required trivial manifestos..

If you can do this, you're a better person than me. I have to be passionate about my work.
