Just another ordinary weekend - walking around house hunting checking out a back lane in suburban Melbourne and I find "Roo"
+1 called animal rescue

Spent a bit of the arvo helping the animal rescue team catch skippy, hope he is ok

11K is a lot for an oven... I just bought this Smeg in white ($3284) for my new kitchen being installed this week

For me, I'm just hoping that when I have my own place, the cook tops will be gas.

Only thing with gas is I might have to learn how to cook almost all over again, as I'll probably end up burning the few pots and pans I get to start with.

Took us a few weeks to decide on the benefits of a gas versus induction cooktop... went with gas in the end but induction has some good features.

Haha no, the top end of the 20s.

Having met you at the last Christmas Do, I wouldn't have suspected you to be around my age; indeed, I had thought you much younger!

Of course, it doesn't help that most people overestimate my age. Don't know what is with that (although some people say it's my behaviour).

After 11ish years in a house together with electric hotplates, a gas stove was an essential for me with this place (well, apart from not on a flood plain!). Mr Katie has only accidentally left a hot plate on once or twice with gas. With electric he left them on far more frequently ...

Hard to get a decent husband who always cooks a delicious dinner *and* manages to not burn the house down each night! ;)

After an extensive search effort and tough, multi-stage recruitment process, it seems like you've found the best man for the position. :p

Great investment.....do you upload to PVOutput?

It's been on 4 weeks tomorrow. It's rained pretty much non-stop over this period & it's still generated 568KWs. We've exported 80% to the grid - we will never pay for another power bill again + getting around $1,600pa in the sky rocket. Given we were paying $2,500 per year I couldn't be happier:D

Wow - yes, they are very efficient - grabbing every little bit of UV out of the sky! We've had plenty of cloudy days and rain, but not as much as the S-E corner.
We were a little higher for the yearly average (1x teen; 1x pre-teen, both of whom can turn something [anything…everything!!!] on but haven't quite mastered the art of turning OFF!) so I'm ecstatic with the last 2 bills having a decent credit balance…woohoo! :D
I'd never heard of PVOutput! Thanks for that - I'm looking into it now.

Guilty, in our old place... luckily Mrs Flashware never got burnt  New place has gas, so 0 times so far ;)

Heard you had hot water for showers too Flashware. Homes in the UK are getting real makeovers!
Apparently there are Ashes tickets still available down here seeing we may have a problem with our batting or bowling.
Maybe Australia should invade England so we can change the rules on the Ashes test cricket series.
