Any impressions? Moreso on HKT-PER, we all know about how great the PER-MEL service would be.

HKT-PER was as I expected, nothing flash but couldn't complain. Service was good, TG Orchid lounge was fine in HKT although food was lacking. Managed to get around 2 hours sleep so flight went pretty quick.. the worst part was waiting in the bus to go to the aircraft for about 15 minutes.

Flight was quite empty.. only 1 person in Row 3!

I'll be doing a trip report on the whole thing in a few days.

Well that's true. Perhaps they're finally actually auditing things (or watching what everyone books heh).

I agree with this over the rumour mongers, there are generally a pretty small number of the really good fares and they just get used up. Very few of these fares just dissappear, they just seem to slowly (or in some cases not so slowly as the word gets out) have their availability dry up, this is much more consistent with yield management more than Virgin finding out and removing the fares.

But given how much we like conspiracies don't let my logical reasoning put anyone off!

Well that was quick. 200SC's posted overnight... not sure I can whinge about having to login every time on the velocity website now.

Decent PER J class pricing at the moment ex-MEL (and other eastern seaboard).

Not ideal as a true SC run (~$8.75/SC) but for required travel may be useful for some and one of the best J prices i've seen on PER sectors. Avail via ADL as well for extra 20SCs (two flight numbers).

Might be time to hurry up and book the last of some good value rewards flights.. Have just increased the points cost of A33, A38, A39, A46.

Arghh... who did some re-sorting? A58 is now showing in the header row (row 2) and the column titles are in row 64. I've made a couple of changes, but if someone wants to restore to a prior version of the file, they aren't significant changes. I'm not gonna do the re-edits, as someone else may know what they are doing better. (Could people please learn how to use Spread Sheets and sorting etc. a bit better ... )

(Revision history shows who might've made the change at 10:09 this morning (BNE time), but I won't name and shame them here...)
