The view from my "office"

@RooFlyer have you booked accommodation in Lincoln yet?

Not necessarily rush but if you’re only going to the cathedral then book close to it. It’s a steep walk down (and worse up) to the main part of the town and there are plenty of restaurants up the top near the cathedral

Booked & thanks for the tip. The Old Palace, very close to the cathedral, and with parking. Although I note "The Steep Hill" is very adjacent!

I've been using booking.com to scope out places and I usually then book direct, but the pricing has been a bit odd. Most places were cheaper booking direct but this one about 50 pounds cheaper with booking.com, so went with that.

One place had their booking engine u/s, so I booked through booking.com, then e-mailed the place saying I'd prefer to book direct. Gave me a nice discount over their on-line price and booking.com, with same cancellation :)

I hope you don't get a big car because a lot of their driveways are very tiny but it's a good location

It is interesting re booking.com. I use it a lot to find what's around and then go to the main site. The hotel I stayed at in Lisbon kept on saying for the best price book on our site but I got it for about $40 a night less through Qantas hotels

The B&B I stayed at in France charge 30% extra to book through booking.com because that's what they get charged and people still do it

I know people were discussing the air quality in Delhi- this is from the Udaygiri Caves near Bhopal

Pretty empty flight … 2 pax in J and 14 pax in Y …

I was originally booked on QF1514 0800 service. I arrived at the airport early and requested to be put on an earlier (first flight out of MEL, preferably) flight.

Is express path pass handed at check-in or J/F boarding pass needed?
In my case, I noticed it on the virtual BP in the app after I checked in online.

Having come off the D>I transfer, it was a hard left at the top of the stairs. Follow signs for “Business and First”.

Off topic, but transfer bus to F lounge in less than 10 mins, 8 mins of that waiting for people who were not match fit at security.
