Current view, Omani lounge Muscat. Next stop Frankfurt, swmbo isn’t feeling feel, but should get a good sleep next leg, hopefully….

Menu from Bangkok to Muscat as well. I only had room for the coconut fish.

Yesterday's office.... Avdat National Park - we had to skip the previous trail we planned to do (Ein Avdat National Park) as it was closed due to the heavy rains and flash flooding earlier this week.

First a stop at Ben Gurion's (the first Israel PM) grave.

Then a walk around the lookout point for Ein Avdat (which was open, but you weren't allowed to hike down to the canyon).

And then onto Avdat NP, an old Nabotean city on the incense route.

That also meant that the road to Eilat (route 40) was closed too, which was a concern as it meant we'd need to double back and drive up to route 90 (which thankfully just re-opened). Of course 3 hours vs the 1 hour 20 min drive we had planned meant today's plans would change considerably.

However, some good news (to be verified shortly!) is that route 40 re-opened at 8.30pm last night.

The chap at the road closure let us drive onto Route 40 yesterday though as long as we promised just to do the short little drive in we planned, some tight hair pins going down into the Mitzpe Ramon Crater but some nice views.

View from B’Mine Hotel, Frankfurt Airport, this newly established area of hotels and offices was a former US military base. A bit of German engineering, triple glazed, plus extra fixed pane with a gap at the top to allow air movement when window open.
