Most furniture is teakwood.
It is looking really good - love the floor timber colour.

Lots of different offices yesterday and today as we travel home from Lisbon. A change in plan made that we had to start with a short hop LIS-OPO on TAP in Y with an hour delay. It was early and I forgot to take photos.

In Porto we waited for our TK flight in the (only?) lounge which served a long list of carriers.

View over the terminal from the internal balcony.

The F&B area.

And it’s somewhat limited offerings.

Our next office, a TK B738 MAX, departed early as soon as all pax were on board. The legroom (seat 2A) was unbelievable.

Goodbye Portugal!

A selection of Turkish mezze, a choice of chicken or salmon and a selection of deserts made up the meal on the four hour flight to IST.

Nearly in Istanbul.

Our first time at the new IST airport. It is huge, airport as far as the eye can see in every direction. The TK lounge is huge too! With views over the expansive and expensive shopping area, which continues left and right.

The lounge is set up like a market with different food and drinks stalls and various sitting areas.

The next office: TK60, a B777 to KUL. Forgot to take a photo of the 2-3-2 layout. I think I prefer this open layout over the somewhat claustrophobic environment of the more modern business suites. The beds were more comfortable (softer) than those of the QF B787 and A380 which caused mrs jxv some grief on our previous trip.

I declined the 2 am dining and only had a cheese platter with a few glasses of Taittinger Brut Reserve. The electric “candle” was a cute touch.

Today’s mobile office took us up to Mitchell Falls. Pretty impressive with all the floods recently. A lovely swim after a bit of a walk.

Tomorrow morning after a beach and bush walk, the ”office” will be heading to Asmore Reef for the total eclipse of the sun. We have the Australian government’s Astronomer-at-Large ( yes, his real title!) on board to present some lectures. Fred is an excellent speaker and makes physics sound like fun.

We shall see the one minute of total eclipse and all three hours of the moon’s progression across the face of the sun. We also have a National Geographic photographer on board. Sister ship Coral Geographer will also be at Ashmore Reef, chartered by NASA.

Today's office was Petra, did the obligatory first stop at the Treasury but continued right through to the Monastery - now that's quite a hike!

Do they still 'hide' the booze on little carts tucked away in various corners?
