How narrow is that space the car park if full... Still remember it took me a little while to manoeuvre the exit

Didn't know about that. The supermarket car park is never more than 1/4 full, so plenty of space. The tickets they give me for the gate only work half the time.

Just getting out of Abbesses Metro the other day was 181 steps!

I enjoyed our stop in Strasbourg a few years ago. Did you get down to the covered bridge and canal area?

Unfortunately, no. It was a pretty cold and drizzly day and I really only had time for the cathedral and doing some general rubber necking. Places like this

Actually Princes isn't so bad - this looks a very large one but certainly some of their smaller ships are OK. I rank Princess above Cunard's Queen Elizabeth (though QM2 is different and special).
