Are you sure you should mention "Sendai" given the furore on another thread?

But actually what this post does remind me of is some of the "Loos with a view" over the years, some with one-way glass, and others with windows at head height. I have never thought to capture any of them for posterity though.

Going through some low risk chemicals stored in an old air raid / bomb shelter in a manufacturing plant in Slovenia. A stark reminder how this part of the world lived through World War 2 and the Cold War.

Matsushima Wednesday.Amazing that this town was basically destroyed in the 2011 tsunami-

Far from true. It escaped quite lightly compared to neighboring areas thanks to some fortuitous positioning. Not meaning to trivialize the few deaths that occurred there, but a couple of weeks later the town was keen to see that things were back up and running by Golden Week, and they managed that in just over six weeks.

Yes. Booked an Accor ' hot deal' but 2 days prior got an offer to upgrade and add breakfast for $20 night. Hence the park view.
