Meanwhile, up this end of town…..




After 6 months with only 21.8mm of rain, today tried to make up for lost time. After the hail, rain came strong and heavy! Now there is bling thunder, but only light and steady rain.

Edit: There was 100mm of rain in an hour! And several new lakes around here!

Meanwhile in BrisVegas I searched in vain this morning for some variation, maybe just a wisp of cloud but alas nothing but bright blue horizon to horizon

We had similar just before I left for YYZ a few weeks ago. Had so much it looked like it had snowed!

This was a gift from QR for a recent downgrade at checkin. Was a much appreciated gesture and even though I asked for it I didn’t think they would follow through with it.

Flying Airlink, J seat was OK as I had 1A but couldn't work out if the meal was different. Beef was nice and tender though, and tasty. Pre departure drinks was a tray of bottles of water with a choice of still or sparkling



And.... my overnight office, Protea Hotel JNB Airport (wouldn't stay here again). The toilet is perhaps taking the airplane theme a bit far!
