The view from my "office"

Arrived in Scotland with a heart stopping moment. Just tootling along the road and saw this motorbike coming from a side road and watched the rider go over and just slide along the road. Luckily no other traffic and I was able to pull over and he was fine but I had to lift the bike so he could get his legs out (and now my back is sore) Big holes in his leathers so lucky he was wearing them. About two minutes later two young lads came along and lifted his bike upright for him and were chatting about technical stuff so I left. I didn't want to be too obvious about taking a photo of them

Now in a fantastic cottage for three nights with the wood burner happily burning away. View of the canola from my bedroom window View attachment 382597View attachment 382598View attachment 382599View attachment 382600
I had a similar heart stopping moment a while ago heading west on Greenhill Road, just after the Glynburn Road roundabout. Two cars and a motorbike which was ahead of both. He hit a sewer cover and went sliding down Greenhill Road just ahead of me, bike with him. The other driver and I braked level, we looked at each other in shock and stopped to go out to him. He seemed ok but leathers shredded. Those manhole covers are an accident waiting to happen.

Weather in Adelaide has been fabulous btw as LIV photos will prove.

Since when did QF fly A380s (or anything for that matter) to LGW?!

First was a charter, 2 weeks ago.

On Monday 14th April Gatwick airport welcomed a very unique and very special visitor for the first time. Operating on a charter VH-OQJ touched down at around 8am from Singapore. The ultra rare moment was caught live on film. This video showcases the first ever departure from Gatwick’s runway of this iconic aircraft. Another first for London Gatwick and an amazing day for aviation enthusiasts in the UK. Please relax and enjoy the footage of history in the making

If true, I didn't realise QF has spare A380s to charter?

does that include interstate seniors do you know?
No, but they can buy concession fares. No weekend travel for free.

Interstate Seniors Card holders

Not sure @VPS , but life is pretty relaxed here
I have used my Seniors in Qld and SA without issue - maybe we just look the part 🤭
I have used my Victorian Seniors to obtain Seniors Travel cards for NSW, ACT, QLD & SA.

Flew EY for the first time, MEL-AUH-FRA, arriving yesterday. Good flight, found J seat quite comfortable with more room for my (big) feet than most.

We were a bit disappointed with the view from our room, no car park!
