Veerasamey Rd Little India. My wife's mother lived here from around the mid 1930's to the late 1940's. Her family was not interned by the Japanese as they were 'locals'. This building was built in1924. It appears to be being renovated but it has been in a similar state for a decade.

I know India, but not Little India. What location please?
 
And through both border controls in under 30 minutes in total including a slow drive across the Tua's Bridge (second crossing,).

A failed development built by the mainland Chinese for rich mainland Chinese.partly at least to move assets overseas. After strict money controls were put in place biy President Xi it lost its purpose. Only 9,000 people live there and it is often described as a ghost town. There was also apparently a lot of environmental damage caused by its construction. And now some buildings are showing cracking - claimed to be caused by hurried and badly done soil compaction.
