Well we saw the lightning but only a couple of drops of rain. But it only took 8 minutes from the plane to the exit. HLO is definitely worth it. A Customs officer had to run over from their huddle to take our arrival cards.

I always like when that happens. It's because they expect everyone will have checked bags. My favourite flight doing that on is DOH-PER.

Love train travel like this.
Sydney to Adelaide on Indian Pacific then overnight in Adelaide and back to Melb on the Overland (day trip but meals included) makes a great few days away/short break.
