For JohnK and others who enjoy golf. No pretentions, no statements of grandeur, just the ubiquitous and modest, tin shed! Taken from my airborne office on Friday.

Funny I pretty much took the same pics a few days ago but was sitting to the right of where you were looking straight down the nose of QF so you couldn't really tell it was a qantas plane from that angle so I deleted it. I couldn't possibly move for a better shot:p. Took EK too.

re: The view from my "office"

Literally was the view from my office (in a block of shops) a little over an hour ago:

Prior to the storm (thankfully), we just heard a "snap" and "crash" outside and this is what has happened to one of the blade signs outside. Lucky it fell straight down and not at either glass window or glass door on either side.

The right hand side bracket had failed and from the looks, has been due to the wind stressing the metal bracket over quite some time. A couple of tenants secured the sign as best we can right now (resting on a chair), however there is the risk that the other bracket could fail as it is now bent out of shape and taking all the weight of the sign. The owners son came down with tools and unscrewed the sign and put it inside until it can be re-hung.

re: The view from my "office"

The sign decal is mine, but not the sign as it is a fixture of the building, thus the owners issue (and I advised them immediately it happened by email and SMS with photos plus a voicemail message). Their son runs his personal training studio in one of the shops, so he got a call from his parents and he came up and we took down the sign. His father and their builder will re-do the brackets and re-hang the sign. I recommended using a chain secured to the metal girders rather than a fixed bracket.

I hope you are insured. ;)
