Looking at booking that ship for a family holiday. AKL-SYD 4 nights. (when mum is paying for 6 adults, flights/acr/cruise - then it's only 4 nights on the boat)

Not my favourite ship but for 4 nights would be OK. I am doing Melbourne - Auckland on Golden Princess in a couple of weeks. She is bigger than the sun Class ships. I like Celebrity or P&O UK for better appointed ships.

Queen Mary is my backup ship, but not really sure the "partners" would appreciate her. She would be my choice, but since I will be paying for 3 cabins, the better priced Sun may have to do. A lot is going to depend on when owners of business decide to go on holidays, as I will have to fit around their departure, then which ship sails at the best time.

Agree with this. QM2 would not be my partners choice either and same for love_the_life's partner but together the two of us love her!

But everyone loves the Solstice ships with Celebrity.

Is that the Silversea ship in Tromso? if so it's the one you were getting off as we were getting on in 2010. Some work on the docks meant the then Prince Albert 2 couldn't dock in town as it usually did.
