The view from my "office"

The famed Ruta 40. 5000km from the far S of Argentina (and counting from the S) to the far N, mostly along the E edge of a few little hills called the Andes.

A mix of dirt and excellent sealed roads.

VERY ARTISTIC !!! They dont look real ! great photographer or good camera ?? ;)

Waddayamean they don't look real? This part of western Argentina has the highest concentration of volcanic cones in the world. So many it was hard to get a definitive pic. Everything you see is a cone or a vent.

I had a good camera.

Just to prove we both attended Saturday's office-

Have you been to Fortnum and Mason - that is amazing. I've got six weeks in London coming up and my google maps is full of stars of saved locations for all the bakeries and patisseries
I love the ground floor restaurant at the back overlooking Jermyn St. It is in a raised section, and we try to stop there once on every trip to London even if only for tea and a gooseberry danish.

 That is not the view from the top of Huyana Picchu that I recall. Have the Incas been doing reconstruction? :p.

But it is the wet season. It had rained all night and this is the view of Huyana picchu and I guess the view from it would be similar-

Indeed - had dinner there a few trips ago - might be a revisit coming up

Rotten luck with the weather .... hope it didn't take away from the experience.

Departing Melbourne on board a QF A330 - beautiful weather:

Descending into Sydney, not so good:

Coathanger visible: (image won't load.... aarrrghhh!)

Oh well, breakfast in QF F - beautiful buttemilk pancakes washed down with Taittinger:

No view out the window to speak of, unless you like pictures of teeming rain. Hah, who says Sydney's got better weather?
