The view from my "office"

Yesterday on the way back to Coolgardie and the burn home to PERadise. Some wildflowers at their peak and plants thriving on the rocks with the decent rains in the west this winter.

Note how the dirt road has dried very nicely in 1-2 days. ESC only came on a few times on some gravelly bends... ;):). Gotta check that those things really work... ;).

Nothing that a bit of 2,4,5 T won't fix to get the place suitable for prospecting again. :D :p;)

Love that place. I swam from right (where the rocky point is "Pico Del Loro) to left (where the sand finishes and the marina starts "Alderdi Eder Parkea") across that bay a few years ago. About 1.2 km of beautiful, warm, clear water.

Are the slide pontoons still there? Can't see them in the pic.
I don't remember seeing any and we walked, not swam, to both points of the bay. The Spanish seem to have sets dates for closing certain facilities regardless of the weather or crowds. For example the Fun-fair on the hill, from where I took the photo, was all closed up for winter despite it being beautiful weather with plenty of tourists. I bet they said something like today is 15 September, all must go.

“Ladies and gentlemen, this is your Captain speaking. Unfortunately we are going to have to return to the airport to offload a passenger who has become disruptive.”

Although not a champagne drinker ( especially these days) I had to have a small quick reviver after finding out my lovely flat bed 'suite' 4a on new style QF A330 has been subbed for a bloody angle flat ( i think, according to the not so reliable seat guru) old style job. I didn't realise Qantas still had angled flats

So I've been in this office at HKG for a few hours now, updating my TR and sparing with me old mate juddles. :)

One of the few offices I can truly just hang around in and relax. Although I discovered to my surprise that they don't have decaf coffee or hot chocolate!

Crab and avocado galette and ( brought out at the same time  ) butter chicken. Small portions, aren't they?

Can anyone tell me when the heck the QP is at HKG? Just a bunch of hordings where I thought it was. :(

Edit. Boarding. Never found it.

(If my laptop didn't already have a cracked screen I would have done it deliberately by now - need a new one!)

For those lovers of Michael Portillo's travels. The oldest transporter bridge in the world - as featured in his Spanish Series. It costs about 80 Euro cents to cross with the local travel card. You can take a lift up the tower and walk across the superstructure. Would be great photos but my fear of heights turned me from a duck to a chicken.
