The view from my "office"

Which would you choose for another visit?
Ann forgot one.We also stayed at the Cradle Mountain hotel.Nice place but too far out.I remember it well as there were a dozen old Bugattis parked outside during our stay.
We stayed at the Cradle Mountain lodge when it was just that, again with Peppers and it had lost some of it's charm. So if we were to go again we would stay at the Wilderness Lodge again.

So the final Christmas Market visit for the year... Chicago. We landed this morning and the weather has been amazing, -1 but blue skies and pretty much no wind. Was interesting to have a wander around the market but it's not quite up to European standards (or prices!).

The end! Bah Humbug everyone! :)

Always wanted to go in summer, looks good
The Snowy Mountains are beautiful in summer. About 20 degrees cooler at Thredbo than most other places in NSW and we went up and had lunch at the Eagles Nest which is Australia’s highest restaurant. I had shorts and a T-Shirt on and it was quite crisp. We went for a short 40 minute walk afterwards to take in the views but didn’t bother going up to Kosciusko this time. On the way home we had a paddle in the Talbingo Reservoir and the Tumut river which is flowing very quickly as it’s being released from the Blowering reservoir and is like ice.
