So the final Christmas Market visit for the year... Chicago. We landed this morning and the weather has been amazing, -1 but blue skies and pretty much no wind. Was interesting to have a wander around the market but it's not quite up to European standards (or prices!).
The end! Bah Humbug everyone!

Thanks. Mum is 75 and is still passionate with her flower garden. She even did the vegetable garden this year as dad had a lengthy time in hospital. If I can 1/10th of what she does garden will look ok.The garden is lovely JohnK. I especially enjoyed seeing the dahlias - took me back to my mum’s when I was growing up. Impressive green nature strip too.

That's still 'luxury' accommodation in my books. Our swags were a lot more basic, without the fancy poles, and we relied on tying the end off into the bullbar of our survey vehicle.Wow they have done a lot to the Park since I was there ... 20 years ago .
I went looking for some hard copy pics I took then ( including a walk to the top of Mt Dove ) but couldn't find them. Will keep looking.
But I did find this, the view of my overnight office from my time working in the NT ( And specifically looking at @JohnM and others who purport to disclaim my current desire for comfy hotels ). I can't recall the significance of the Surf box, as it was one of our temporary camps. Why in the open and not under a tree? Think fruit bats!
.... What do you mean?Is Surf a variation on the OMO/FAB messaging service?
Assigned seating for Christmas lunch. That’s fancy.Christmas day at West Lakes (SA)
