The view from my "office"

After spending some time with @Wozza @Delectable Blue and @Tassieoptom enjoying good company and wine I went bush in the central highlands (Tassie)

I had the pleasure of watching echidnas, wombats (and baby wombats) Bennetts wallabies and another type but unsure what, brush tail possums, copper head and tiger snakes, fallow deer - does, fawns, spikys - even fawns drinking and lots of birds

Today's office was enjoyable and spectacular. Sogeri falls PNG. (not quite Niagera, but it lost something in the telling ... it's actually quite spectacular)

and I had a little trouble getting these two Cus Cus, so I apologise for the pic quality!

Here I am, lying (alone ... again) in my hotel room and notice the smoke detector, hanging so reassuringly from the ceiling above my bed.

I wonder why it is, that I have premonitions of dread? ;)

I once heard a saying ... small things amuse small minds! I bet the idiot who said that never had to spend countless nights on their own in a hotel room!

I'm guessing that Douglas Adams stayed here, sometime shortly before writing sbout Marvin, the paranoid android in Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy! Now I'm really suss about those mice over there!

And you poked fun at me over traveling on my own - "lonely hearts club" I think you said :-)
But at least the smoke detectors in Singapore look a bit cheerier, it's just the fridge I don't trust - I'm sure it's listening....

Had mates leave on the Ovation of the Seas-heading around NZ & the forecast for when they are in the Sounds on Fri is great at this stage
@RB - your friends might like this photo of their ship next to Orion in NZ - Port Chalmers - today. Weather does look good. We are on the Orion to Alaska in May.

No kittihawks that I saw. There was a tank though!

That particular trimotor was originally owned by the Earl of Lovelace (o_O) and bogged down on muddy ground at Myola Lake in Nov '42 during the Kokoda campaign, hence the "nose job". It was in service with the RAAF at that time, as an air ambulance.
