Today is the 43rd day we have recorded rain this year. We are safe on a hill at Port Macquarie but there is a lot of flash flooding around

Waiting for local facebook page to do the call-out “Come Home - we are about to get flooded in” I expect to be caught between 2 creek crossings tomorrow. Just have to time it right to get home this avo.

I remember some years ago driving in to my Uncle's property in Qld just on dark through the local creek when the water was up to the door sills. Got through ok, but did feel it was a little "floaty" but maintained enough traction to push through. Came back to the same crossing in the morning as Uncle was keen to collect the papers for the last week, and the water level was above the roof line of our car. The papers had to wait another few days before being collected.
