The view from my "office"

I've seen people doing just that there in the past when it's much calmer. You'd have a death wish to be in that water today though.
You go with the current and it's generally ok. The laminar flow of the water keeps you off the rocks.

While I was still snoring in bed my wife took this photo of Jupiter and Venus in close conjunction. Early tomorrow morning (Perth time) there will be a "once in a thousand years" alignment of Saturn, Mars, Venus and Jupiter.

We then rode over to the next suburb to see my nearly 6 year old grandson attend his first Saturday of Auskick. The weather was truly PERfect.

Will be there next week. Looks superb.

Beaches do not disappoint! If you plan on eating out, do book ahead, especially on the weekends. We had a brilliant lunch at Blue Manner in Dunsborough on Friday. Can highly recommend.

Well we got up at 0245, 0500 & 0715 and couldn't do much better than yesterdays photo. We tried 2 cameras a tablet and a phone but they were simply not good enough to get a really good photo when the skies were dark. These are probably the best ones but at least you can see that Jupiter and Venus are aligned more closely than yesterday.
