Prague Castle

The steps we didn't walk up to get there - unlike 95% of the visiting throng.

Instead we caught the very clean Metro 100 metres from our hotel on Wenceslas Square. We travelled for 2 stops, walked 50 metres and hopped onto a tram for another two stops. We then arrived the back entrance without having to climb any hills and taking about 5% of the time walking would have involved. To make it even better Prague public transport is free for over 65's. With the current state of my lower back this route was a godsend.

Our entry point with a small band marching out.

Doesn't matter what the room is like, when you have views like that !!
Speaking of the room and the hotel. There is a shared lounge at our hotel where you can relax, have a coffee or eat a meal you have purchased elsewhere etc. Came back from today's activities and when I was making a coffee I heard what I thought was an Aussie accent. The only others in the lounge were from Perth BUT once we started a little travel chat we ventured into points and then AFF forum. Turns out that the other man was a regular AFF contributor. The next hour or more was then an in depth discussion of many aspects of travel and AFF.
