Those of you who have been to Neuschwanstein will recognise the simplicity of style and tasteful understatement that King Ludwig 2 so loved. Hence his state carriage in all its austerity.

Great train ride from Lecce to Monopoli today-our 1st Italian train ride of the current trip (2nd class). Spotless, new carriage, on-time departure & arrival, updates in Italian & English, charging points & clear monitors with useful info!

A few mins after take off, the whole sky looked illuminated. Everyone looked to the right and there was fire bellowing from two industrial chimneys. It was nice to see.

Looks like the seat width is about 12" there

I think the zoom setting on my mobile phone camera might be the issue. I used the 0.5x zoom on iPhone, so the seat looks smaller (or zoomed out) than usual. This was a A330 service, so a regular Y seat
