The WP shadow

And here's my turn... QF513 on the 27th has the entire row 4 opened up at T-80. I've placed myself into 4D (from 6D). Experflyer is showing Y9->N9, so let's see what happens.

Things are starting to return to normal. QF52 last night - my shadow held from booking to boarding ..... tested the theory using SWMBO SG status on EF. Happy days!

Shadow on 4D up to t-18 but now gone I expect it is a victim of the "buy a seat with extra legroom" enhancement given 4F is still blocked. Why if they are charging extra for the seats do they not release 4F for this purpose first?

I don't think so? At least I can choose row 4 without being asked to pay.

I didn't think they were being charged for. I do know of a few comments on here that have referenced the disappointment that would occur if QF did charge for them.

That may have been me.

If Qantas does start charging for row on short haul then they have really lost the plot.

T-4 and shadow still sticking... will report after the flight as to whether the shadow remained

I was on QF451 this afternoon and enjoyed a row 4 shadow in a fairly full flight. Well that is what I am going to believe.

QF690 yesterday, 4B & 4E empty, rest of the plane full with the exception of some odd seats at the back of the plane. The shadow algorithm must have changed somehow?

QF513 this morning was, well, inconclusive. 4E was empty, but while I didn't see their bps, 4B and her partner in 5B displayed classical NB behaviours, while 4C had a WP tag on his carry on. 4A was occupied as well. There were some empty seats on the flight.

QF739 this morning. About 24 free seats. 4B was free (I was in 4C). 5C is also WP, and his shadow stuck with him. 4/5 DEF were all full, but it looks like some were travelling together, hence using the middle seats.

Seq # 186 on a 737 flight! Would you expect a shadow with only 4 vacant seats ~T-1?

One of the last to board and 2 ladies were given boarding passes to sit in the coughpit. Don't know whether that was special request, friends of staff etc.

I would be willing to give up my J seat for a seat in the coughpit. :) 4B empty again on a fairly full flight MEL-ADL. Shadow stuck all the way!

Most likely staff travel with CASA clearance.

Yes i'm not sure, but I have a feeling only QF staff with the appropriate security clearance can access the jumpseat -- not just friends of operating crew.
