Shiny new Gold Membership cards and bag tags arrived in the post today for me and my partner. Just in time for us both to embark on a few work trips each with DJ...

I've got SYD-PER-SYD, SYD-BNE-SYD, SYD-MCY-SYD and SYD-MEL-SYD in the next 3 weeks.... Thats a good start to re-qualification.

Received my cards and tags today ... about 2.5 weeks since the status match. So it might not happen overnight, but it will happen

Not that I need to Tier match, moved from silver to gold over the weekend (YEAY ME!)

However, Just wish I could get more then 2 tags, I regulary check in 6 peices (totalling either just over or under 32Kg's, so you can imagine how much excess i've paid in the last 5 months and 15days since starting on bronze on May 24th

I just want more tags, was kinda upset when my silver one got lost on the belts and bashers between checkin and pickup

Had the plasic cord and the metal ring, card was missing, i shed a invisble tear.

Give the membership contact centre a call on 131 875, they have sent me extra tags before at no charge

My Velocity account renews at the end of December.. I was considering waiting until the start of January so I'd get 24 months of gold.. I'm wondering if they'd do it anyway?

Fantastic! I just checked and I am now Velocity gold until September '12. That wil stop most of the little things we find to groan about when the office books us on DJ.

Their E190s are, if anything, more comfortable than the 717s QF often use on our routes and the FAs like to make it just a little bit fun and light hearted compared to the usual routines.

Virgin hasn't banned the sale of full strength alcohol on board like Qantaslink has on the Pilbara flights so being able to have one or two on the way home from work is another sweetener.

That's what I am hoping for...

There have been a few variations reported.

The one that comes to mind is DJ Gold for the remainder of your membership year + 2 months. So not quite 2 years....
