Likely have the fuel. I think the margin as someone mentioned on here is pretty wafer thin for any route extensions etc.

I still think they need to move to a Y meal on SHI or Long Haul ‘SHI’ flights like this one. Just comes across as very low cost. JetBlue even offer meals for trans pacific. I think they have cut costs too much.

VA just needs to enable pre-bookings for Y Meals (on SHI), like their LCC and Value Carrier rivals like Batik Air, Jetstar, AirAsia and Scoot.

Not hard to do, and Batik operate the same type of Aircraft that VA does, only with one extra J recliner row in their 2-class 737-800/MAXes.

They seem to be dragging their feet when it comes to BOB.

Bit strange as money to made on those meals. They are definitely under done when it comes to food options on longer missions.

It's like watching a kid going to school on the first day, albeit ETA 90mins late. Speed, little dude.

This is on EF. So will be a money burner this month, will be interesting if the MAX is able to take a full load.

Anyone clever enough to work out the rough $$$ it will burn on gas?
